About
In this third and final installment of of our Fusion 360 training series, you'll explore the Form environment, which lets you shape your models using T-splines. T-splines are far more flexible and powerful than basic (BRep) solid modeling. With it, you have the power to make more organic shapes like an ergonomic computer peripheral, a spoon, or a curvy race car.
You also will see the mesh and plastic environments, get more instruction on joints and animations, play with extensions and scripts - including using ChatGPT to write your scripts for you! - and get an introduction to generative design.
The course balances lecture and hands-on practice with real-world object design and ensures that you'll emerge with enhanced design capabilities and a more intuitive understanding of the design process using Fusion 360.
Details
You must bring a laptop computer with a mouse and a working copy of Fusion 360 already downloaded. This is critical as no computers are provided, and the design program does not work well with a trackpad. There will not be time to download the program during class.
You can download a free trial directly from Fusion. Click "Get started" under the column "Fusion 360 for Personal Use." It will walk you through the process including creating an account and a confirmation email.
Prerequisites
Intermediate Fusion 360 CAD or equivalent.
