About
Using glass squares, rectangles, and stringers, you'll create a 9.5-inch dish of geometric designs while building your skills on the studio’s Beetle Bits Cutting System.
You’ll get step-by-step instruction to assemble your compositions with squares and rectangles using clear and opaque glass and stringers. Bring a design of your own (channel your inner Piet Mondrian, the Dutch painter!) or use templates provided by the instructor.
Details
- Ages 12-16.
- Skill level: Beginner.
- Bring water and a snack.
Registering Youth
- Parent/guardian registering a child for the first time: When you register, select "Others Only" in the "Who Are You Registering?" section. On the next page, select "Add New Registrant." Create an account for your child.
- The next time you register your child, use "Search Registrants" to select them.
- Make sure to fill out your youth's emergency contact information and other details when creating their account.
Materials
A materials fee of $50, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.
Class Policies
Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required in the Glass Studio at all times.

Instructors or Guides
Cynthia Jacobs
Retired architect Cynthia Jacobs has been playing in BARN's Glass Arts Studio for about two years. She said she is inspired by all the creativity and always learning something new from this generous community of artists. Previously a painter, she loves creating art with fused glass.
