Youth: Filipino Favorites (Ages 8-13)
Discover the rich traditions of Filipino cuisine.
Discover the rich traditions of Filipino cuisine while learning how to prepare two of the country’s most beloved dishes: crispy lumpia (spring rolls) and savory chicken adobo, a classic dish simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices.
Students will practice essential kitchen skills such as chopping, rolling, measuring, mixing, and cooking safely while gaining confidence in the kitchen. Along the way, they’ll learn about Filipino culture, the history behind these iconic dishes, and the importance of sharing meals with family and friends.
By the end of class, each young chef will enjoy the meal they’ve created and leave with recipes they can recreate at home.
