Learn to make one of Vietnam’s most iconic street foods—Bánh Mì!
In this hands-on class, you’ll create a delicious, customizable sandwich using fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Together, we’ll prepare juicy lemongrass chicken, a rich vegetarian pâté, crisp quick-pickled carrots and daikon, fresh herbs, cucumber, and classic bánh mì condiments. You’ll also learn to prepare the bread and toast it to perfection as well as techniques for assembling each sandwich to achieve the perfect balance of textures and flavors.
Along the way, you’ll discover essential tips for balancing sweet, savory, tangy, and spicy flavors, giving you the confidence to recreate this beloved Vietnamese street food at home.

Details
- Do not bring water bottles. Water will be provided.
- BARN’s kitchen facility regularly uses ingredients on the FDA’s major allergens list. This class uses fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat, soybeans, and sesame.
Registering Youth
- New registrants: When you register, if your youth does not already have an account with BARN, you will create an account for them.
- Next time you register: You will be able to Search Registrants to select your youth.
- Make sure to fill out your youth's emergency contact information and other details when creating their account.

- Ages 8-13 are welcome
- You must wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair.
