About

Want to try something new? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll carve a block, make multiple prints to keep, and have a block for future projects. Experiment with the timeless art of block printing using a vintage tabletop press, carve your own design into a linoleum block, and print a stack of your very own artwork to take home.

Details

  • Skill level: All. No experience needed.
  • Designed for ages 8 and up.
  • Bring a simple 5-inch by 7-inch drawing you'd like to carve onto a linoleum block. We'll be printing in black ink.
  • Bring a water bottle and a snack. Wear comfy clothes you don’t mind getting a little inky.

Details

A $10 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.

Project

You'll carve a single-color design onto a 5-inch by 7-inch mounted Speedball linoleum block, then print designs in black ink on paper using a vintage tabletop press.
