In this hands-on class, you'll make practice cuts on wood that the shop will supply. Completing this class qualifies you to use the following tools during Open Studio time or in classes that have this as a prerequisite:
- Router and router table
- Oscillating sander
- Disc sander
- Drum sander
- Edge sander
- Bandsaw
- Scroll saw

- Please be on time because there is a lot of essential information to cover in this class. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you may not be able to join the class.
- This is a companion class to Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 1, which may be taken before or after this class.
- To use the shop, you also need to attend the free, one-hour Orientation to the Woodshop.
