Interested in being a safety monitor in the woodshop at BARN?  The class will explain the safety monitor program and the role of a shop monitor and duties and responsibilities in the woodshop.  Discussion will include safety of users, safe operation of tools, woodshop systems including lighting, dust collection, cleanup, and opening and closing procedures for open studio time.  Once this class is completed the member will need to “shadow” a monitor for one shift prior to being a certified monitor.

Pre-requisites: Must be a BARN Member.  Must also have taken the Orientation to the Woodshop, Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 1 and 2 classes. 

Cost:  no cost, but please register.
