About

Get an introduction to jig making as you bend thick copper wire into a clever shape that gives a bottle of wine an added role: Holding two wine glasses.
You will use No. 6 wire, about 3/16-inch in diameter to make a series of specific, repeatable bends using a jig. Then add wooden beads to finish the project. These clever holders make perfect host/hostess gifts. You will complete two of them in the class and can return during open studio time to make as many more as you wish. Beginners are welcome.

The materials cost for class fabrication will range from $4.00 to $10.00 depending on size and materials used, payable in class.

The Sheet Metal Studio will be open Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm for open studio time to finish any class projects.

No prior sheet metal experience is required, although it will be helpful to have taken the two-hour Sheet Metal Safety class, offered twice a month on Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm.

Instructor: Jack Archer spent a career in sheet metal work and now heads BARN’s sheet metal programs. Contact Jack with any questions:  jackswines@gmail.com
