Introduction of TIG Welding #4 – PROJECTS AND PRACTICE is the fourth class (of four) in the sequence leading to use of the welding studio. Students should have completed Introduction to TIG Welding #1, #2, and #3. The TIG welding class is limited to 4 participants. 

As the final class in the introductory series, the instructor will be prepared to sign off students for use of the welding studio during “open studio” provided adequate proficiency and safety are demonstrated.

The class is structured so that students will can practice and improve their TIG technique, ask questions and prepare to work more independently. The limits of the Miller 215 welder will be discussed.

Students are encouraged to bring simple projects that they want to begin.

Studio goal is for participants to have the knowledge, experience and comfort level to work independently in an open studio environment TIG welding steel.

Additional Materials fee: $5.00 for steel, filler rod, tungsten, gasand will be added to your total when you register online. 

Instructor: Patrick Clanton is a professional welder with more than 30 years of experience. He participates in the artisan community on Bainbridge as a welder in support of other artists and as a sculptor in his own right.
