This is a workshop open to those interested in becoming monitors for the Welding Studio. It is a familiarization and practice session with oxy/acetylene so that prospective monitors are comfortable with the range and use of equipment in the Welding Studio.

This workshop is with Dave Gonzo, an artist and sculpture from Portland.  He is at BARN for a beta workshop for Board members.  If there is enough interest, there is the possibility of a second workshop on April 12.  (I'm paying for the first one out of pocket but if interest dictates two workshops, I will ask for donations.)

Prospective monitors should contact the Welding Studio Lead (Henry Sharpe at henrysharpe@gmail.com) or the Metal Arts Studio Lead (Peter Mosley at pmose268@gmail.com) when considering registering for this workshop.

The goal of this and similar workshops is to develop a cadre of Welding Studio Monitors to support the growth of the Welding Studio and facilitate Open Studios for Barn Members and participants. 

Safety and Personal Protection Equipment will be provided by BARN.

Participants must wear long sleeve natural fiber clothing, closed toe shoes, no stretch fabrics.  Dress warmly, the studio may be cold.

If only one student has registered 48 hours before the class, the class will be cancelled.
