About

This class has been canceled.
Please look for this class sometime in the Fall.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with master artisan Ray Hammar, a leading artist in salvaged and re-purposed metal.  He will guide and work with studio participants through the process of creating garden art or other creative objects from salvaged materials. The emphasis will be on artful re-purposing old materials and metal objects.

Welding experience equal for BARN Introduction to Welding MIG #1 and #2 or permission of the studio lead (henrysharpe@gmail.com) is a prerequisite to registering for this class.

Bring your artifacts and salvage.  Ray will have some stock of salvaged materials from his treasure trove available for sale. (His prices are very reasonable.) No salvage materials are supplied by BARN.  For those interested, Ray may have tips on where to find interesting materials.  He is a resourceful expert.

BARN will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Participants must wear natural fiber clothing, long sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes, no stretch fabrics.

There will be a $15 materials fee for gas, filler, and consumables that will be added to the class cost when you register.
