About

In this weave-along, you'll be guided to produce a piece of cotton fabric on the rigid heddle loom. You'll directly warp the loom, and begin weaving. 

This fabric will be made with 8/2 cotton. It can be hemmed and used as kitchen towels, or sewn up into project bags. This session can be a companion class to the "rice bag" sewing class with Danielle Mariani (Feb. 10), or a standalone class to weave your own kitchen towels or usable fabric. 

Details

• Skill level: Intermediate. You must be able to directly warp a rigid heddle loom and have some experience weaving on it.
• You won't complete your project during class, and will need to allow for at least another four hours of weaving, plus washing time, before sewing. 
• You're welcome to bring a lunch for our 30-minute break. There is a refrigerator and microwave you can use on the lower level.

Details

You need to bring at least two cones of 8/2 cotton in contrasting colors. These can be purchased at a variety of places including gistyarn.com, woolery.com, Eugene textile center, or locally at Stranded by the Sea in Edmonds.
