About

Turn your flex-shaft into a lathe. We will use carving tools to remove wax as it turns in your flex shaft to make things like ring bands, hoops and round settings for stones. This is a fast and fun way to make wax models.

We won't be casting the finished wax model, so you'll leave class with whatever wax models you've made. If you want to cast your models, but don't have casting experience, taking one of our repeating vacuum or lost wax casting classes is recommended. To get casting experience in the studio, we recommend taking Independent Casting.

Details

  • No jewelry experience is needed, but casting experience is recommended.
  • The demo video used in class will be available to you for three months after class.

Details

A $25 materials kit, included in the cost of the class, covers the wax and stones needed for this class.

Class Policies

Ages 14 and up are welcome.
