Invitation Only: Volunteer Appreciation

About this Class

 Let your imagination fly as you cut, bend, roll, and shape sheet metal to your will. We will focus on the use of hand shears, jump shear, brake, beading tool, hammers and rollers. We will also use the spot welder to integrate multiple pieces of metal in one sculpture. 

You’ll get to experiment with how sheet metal naturally flows. By class end, you should have a feel for what can be accomplished with the material and tools. Bring your creativity!

Although some familiarity with basic sheet metal tools and safety would be helpful (see Intro to Sheet Metal classes), students new to sheet metal will receive hands-on tool & equipment instruction prior to starting their sculpture.

  • Wear closed-toes shoes and long pants to class.
