About

Choose from a selection of bird templates to make a Bluebird, a Gold Finch, a Wood Thrush, or a Cardinal. Your bird can be mounted onto a stake for a plant pot, or you can add a hanger before firing.

Since we'll be using just two colors of clay for our birds, you’ll also learn techniques for adding color and detail with pens after your piece has been fired. The clay needs to dry for three days before going into the kiln, so your project will be ready five days after class. Once you take your piece home, practice your pen techniques to add details, and re-cure your bird in an oven at 350 degrees.

Details

A $35 materials fee covers everything you'll need for this project.
