About

**This workshop will be live streamed via Zoom.**

Given we are still maintaining physical distancing, why not use this time to go out and flex our shooting muscles? Each virtual walk will have a title prompt to focus your shooting. We will all get together via Zoom to get guidance, share our work and get feedback.

The prompt is: “Fall is Coming”

There will be two sessions.

  • Session one will be the warm-up on Wednesday,  the instructor will review the prompt, show some example images, give suggestion on how to “work a subject” and answer questions.
  • Session two will be about review and followup.
Once you have a selection of solid work, edit your images down to your best 3 or 4 shots. Do the necessary post-processing to make them the best they can be and submit them via Dropbox for the live, Zoom Review Session. You can submit JPEGs, RAWs or better yet DNGs (with your edits included, along with the original RAW file). There will be a two hour review session to share and receive feedback from the instructor, as well as your peers.

Now - go out and start shooting!

Perhaps after a few photo walks we can have BARN to showcase our work in an exhibit on our Media Arts landing page.

Details:

  • Registration closes one day before the start of the first session.
  • Zoom will be used for two way video conferencing and course delivery. Dropbox will be used for course materials and program sharing (please download Zoom 5.0 and Dropbox ahead of time). You will get links to Zoom and shared Dropbox files prior to the class start date.
  • For a great video on how to use Zoom, watch this tutorial.
  • An email will be sent to the email address you registered with 1 day before the start date of each session with the Zoom video conferencing link to join the class. Please watch for these emails.
  • In gratitude to our members for their continued support during the closures, BARN is offering all classes for free to BARN members through December 2020.  Members are still responsible for paying materials and mailing fees, where applicable. If a class is full, please add your name to the wait list in case a space opens up or we are able to offer another class. Check our calendar frequently as more classes are being added each week!
  • Tuition assistance is available. Click here to apply.
