Learn how to weave a small basket out of waxed linen using the twining method. You'll be introduced to techniques for starting the bottom, turning up the sides, and finishing the rim. You'll also learn a number of strategies for creating exciting and colorful patterns. If you work outside of class, you can expect to finish a small basket by the end of the second class.

• Skill level: All levels, though some prior experience twining (waxed linen or any other material) is helpful.
• Bring a lunch or have a way to drive into town to get something to eat as we'll break for lunch on the first day of class. BARN has a refrigerator and microwave you can use on the lower level. 

Details

• A $25 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers all supplies: waxed linen, tapestry needle, glue, fabric, and thread.
• If you have waxed linen and/or decorative beads you'd like to use, feel free to bring them (optional).

Ages 14 and up are welcome.
