If you have at least basic woodturning experience, here's your opportunity to get a head start on holiday gift-giving. Make classy bottle stoppers, sturdy pizza cutters, beautiful pie knives, coffee scoops, ice-cream scoops, gourmet zesters, bottle openers, or cheese slicers.

You can choose which projects to complete during the class. You will also receive information about where to buy the best hardware for future projects. 

Details:

• Depending on which projects you choose, the materials cost for wood and hardware will be around $10 to $25, payable at the class.
  
• Open to those who have taken a class on turning between centers or who have a few hours of turning experience and understand lathe safety and basic tool techniques for gouges, parting tools, use of chucks, etc.
  

Instructor: Jamie Straw has been turning wood for about two years and is the vice president for Education and Training for the local chapter of the American Woodturners Association. She enjoys both spindle turning (as in the projects covered in this class) and turning bowls, and gives both types of projects as gifts.
