Join experienced glass artist Constance Ducar for a beginning glass casting class. No previous glass skills required. Start with glass shards and finish with nine pocket hearts. Make a casting pan of 2 inch glass pocket hearts using a basic casting technique. These hearts are perfect for Valentines Day, someone special or a nice way to say thank you.

You can bring one friend, child, or grandchild with you. Youth must be fully vaccinated by the start of this class. Please answer the question during registration if you are bringing a youth.


Details:

  • Enrollment: 1-2 people per work space (1 casting pan of 9 hearts). Vaccinated Teens welcome. Vaccinated 8-12 years old welcome with parent, relative or guardian. Note: some hand strength is needed to nip glass, adult may need to help <12 yr olds. Please answer the question during registration if you are bringing a youth.
  • Remember to wear close-toed shoes & long pants in the Glass Studio at all times! This is a strictly enforced safety policy. Thank you.
  • BARN is practicing safety measures for the health and well-being of all participants, in accordance with state and CDC guidelines. Overall BARN safety policies are here.

Instructor Bio:

Constance Ducar is enthusiastic about working with beginning students and encouraging a love for glass. She sometimes incorporates fiber or wood as display options with her glass pieces.
