The Art of French Polishing
Learn to create the lustrous finishes traditionally used on stringed instruments and fine furniture.
Discover the beauty, depth, and fun of French polishing, a centuries-old finishing technique celebrated by woodworkers worldwide. You'll spend the majority of class time practicing on your own wood panel, learning how to adjust the shellac-alcohol-oil ratio, and the moisture and pressure of a traditional pad. You'll leave with a starter kit containing materials and the skills to begin your first French polishing project at home.
