About

Make a delicious and heartwarming pie that will show your love and appreciation for your mom.

About this Class

You will be guided through the entire process, from creating a filling to perfecting your crust and creating embellishments to give it a unique and beautiful touch. Plus, you'll get to take your delicious creations home and share them with your loved ones.

This is a collaboration between BARN's Fiber, Woodworking, and Kitchen Arts studios to celebrate Mother's Day. You can make a cutting board in the Woodworking Studio on the morning of May 13 to fit into the picnic tote you can make in the Fiber Studio that same afternoon. Then wrap it all up with this class, on Mother's Day, by making a pie to fill the tote! Take all three classes - with your mom or grandma or with your kids or grandkids (you can also come to any or all the classes on your own).

Details

  • A $25 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything needed.
  • Registration closes May 12.
  • Wear closed-toes shoes to class.

Project

  • Learn how to make pie crust
  • Design ideas for decorating the crust
  • Make a tasty filling from scratch

Her professional experience in the food service industry has spanned the past decade and continues to be something she is passionate about. A few of the places she has worked on the island includes, Bainbridge Bakers, Sweet Dahlia Baking, Blackbird Bakery, and Good Egg. She is the mother of a son, 6, who just started kindergarten; and a daughter, 6 months. She's excited to participate at BARN and hopes to lead some classes of her own!
