About

You'll use silkscreen, block print, and stencil methods to apply a range of mordants in your pattern preference. Sampling will show us the difference in results when you dye fabric first, then print or print first and then dye. Multiple dye baths will enhance the results and add depth to the designs.

Details

  • Bring a lunch for our mid-day break. There is a refrigerator and microwave you can use on the lower level.
  • Bring note-taking materials.
  • Wear clothes you don't mind getting stained and comfortable, closed-toe shoes.

Details

  • A $45 materials fee, included in the price of the class, provides fabrics (silk, cotton, linen), dyes, mordants, thickening agents, and handouts as well as some blocks, screens, stamps, and stencils.
