Learn a variety of woodworking skills by building this nightstand. You'll start with plywood pieces cut to make a nightstand about 16 inches high, wide, and deep. You'll be able to customize the final height as you design and shape the legs.

Learn how to join the pieces using dowels and glue, how to make and install the drawers, and how to cover the edges with strips of solid wood to give your piece a finished look. When everything is complete, you'll rub on an oil finish to give your nightstand a polished look.

Depending on timing, you may be able to make one or more other wooden objects in this class.

 An $80 materials fee, included in the class fee, covers everything you need.

Class Policies

• Ages 12-16 are welcome.
• You must wear safety glasses and closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and avoid dangling clothing and jewelry. We recommend bringing your own safety glasses.
