Each day, you'll select produce and herbs to create a delicious lunch — complete with a main dish, side, and dessert.  

On the menu:

  • Cheesy Burgers with Homemade Buns and Tangy Coleslaw, featuring soft, homemade hamburger buns.
  • Pesto Burgers with Caprese Salad, featuring a Caprese salad of garden-fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, and a homemade pesto drizzle.
  • Bagel BLT with Homemade Chips and Salsa, featuring bagels made with self-rising flour.
  • Fresh Bread with Chicken Salad and Potato Wedges, featuring homemade bread.
  • Homemade Nut Butters and Jam Sandwiches with Fresh Fruit Salad, featuring nut butters and jam from scratch.
  • Sweet finishes every day! Each day will end with a delightful dessert, prepared from scratch to complement the main dishes.

Omnivores will enjoy this class. Menus are subject to change.  

BARN’s kitchen facility regularly uses ingredients on the FDA’s major allergens list. This class uses eggs, wheat, milk, peanuts, and tree nuts.

A $60 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.

Instructor
Erin Girard

Erin is an experienced, credentialed classroom teacher with more than 24 years' experience teaching and working with children in a variety of settings including public schools, online, special education, and outdoor education. She holds a bachelor of arts degree, and a masters in education degree, and has completed post-graduate work in special education. Having always enjoyed cooking, Erin began adapting recipes as a mom of a child with severe food allergies and, in 2018, began teaching cooking and baking on a global ed-tech platform for learners 5-18. In 2020, Erin and her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest where they love to get outdoors to mountain bike, kayak, hike, and backpack.
