Use scrap fabric and other fiber materials to create compositions. We’ll talk about making our own patches, flags, and hangings.

Experiment with different stitching techniques, gain a greater understanding of how different types of materials interact with each other, and expand the framework of sewing and fabric to creative new places.  

Details: Age Level: Youth Class, Ages 12-17.

• Student supplies to bring to the workshop:  
  Bring scraps of fabric and small items you might want to include in your collage.

Instructor Bio: Katey Rissi says: "I am an artist, craftsperson, and educator, with a background in graphic design. I have worked in the design field as a print designer, photographer, and as a creative director. Additionally, I ran a small business selling my printmaking work and paper sculpture to art museums and small shops around the country.
