About

You will learn and practice how to cut a seat, secure a stone and finish the metal. You will be using many basic jeweler tools (saw, files, pliers, dividers, calipers, punches, setting burrs, polishing wheels, vices, chasing hammer, and the flex shaft). You should have a working knowledge of the jewelers' saw, files, and flex shaft to sign up for this class.

Even if you don’t use traditional prongs in your current designs, it is an excellent stepping stone. Learning how to use them can lead you to new understanding and possibilities.

Details

  • A $35 materials fee included in the cost of the class covers all materials needed. Students can bring a couple things (listed below), too.
  • Registration closes May 11.
  • Bring a lunch. BARN has a refrigerator and microwave on the lower level.
  • N95 or KN95 masks are required for this class when working close together.
