Print Studio's Spring Salon with Miranda Metcalf from Davidson Galleries

Come spend an eveing with Miranda K. Metcalf. She will be speaking about the most effective way to approach a gallery with your work.

Miranda received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in philosophy with a focus on aesthetics. She went on to receive her Art History MA from the University of Arizona in Tucson and wrote her thesis on the animals found in prints designed by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. She has worked in numerous contemporary art institutions and non-profits including The Smithsonian's Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Miranda took the position as director of the contemporary department at Davidson Galleries in 2012. Davidson Galleries, located in Pioneer Square, opened its doors in 1971 and over the past four decades has established itself as the premier gallery for multiples and graphic arts on the West Coast.

 Throughout that time the gallery has been committed to showing fine works on paper from contemporary artists as well historical prints, from sixteenth-century woodcuts to Modern masters. When Miranda isn't at work she enjoys yoga, travel, and spending time with her brindle mutt, Ebbie.
