About

This date has been canceled. Please sign up for these classes starting on July 10.

Please note: This series of classes is a special interest group offering  only for students and mentors participating in the Spartronics Robotics Program at Bainbridge High School. A code is required for registration.

In this class students will learn fabrication techniques by making the parts needed to complete a Stirling Cycle Engine from a kit. The machine tools used will include the lathe, milling machine, and drill press.

Each session is limited to 4 student participants and 2 mentors. The class fee is $10/session with each session running 2 hours.

Sessions will be on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings. We anticipate there will be at least 10 sessions required to finish this project. Students are encouraged to sign up for as many sessions as they can and to sign up at least 2 weeks in advance. If the project finishes sooner there will be refunds given.

If you have any questions, please contact Julie Leung, Program Coordinator at Julie@BainbridgeBARN.org or 206-842-4475 x 221.

Spartronics students can direct questions to Kenneth.

Instructors:

Stan Stumbo, Jerry Erickson, Peter Moseley, Chris Stanley

Chris Stanley is a professional model maker and educator. He has done work for IBM, NASA, the Smithsonian, and many other companies. He has taught many an industrial design student how to bring their creations to life in the machine shop.
