Need a snack? Who doesn't! Come to BARN and learn how to make your own soft pretzels. We'll boil and bake, and talk about how this process applies to bagel making, too.

Bring a child 6 and up, and you’ll both learn how to handle yeasted dough and make different shapes, including those alluring pretzel bites. Learn how pretzel making can be a prerequisite for jumping into homemade bagels, and how to freeze pretzels for later.

You'll take home recipes plus a batch of hot pretzels to eat immediately or parbake for later.

Details

  • Do not bring water bottles. Water will be provided.
  • BARN’s kitchen facility regularly uses ingredients on the FDA’s major allergens list. This class uses wheat.

Materials

A $15 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome (or kids over 6 with an adult).
  • You must wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair.
