Soft Pastel: Into the Wild
A fun and comprehensive class in soft pastels. Sketching from photographs provided by the instructor, you will learn to apply soft pastel color using mixing and layering techniques. Photo choices will be of landscapes, birds, flowers, or deer.

- This class meets downstairs in the Small Classroom.
Materials
- A $10 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers pastels, paper, and fixative spray used during the class.
Class Policies
Ages 14 and up are welcome.
Instructor
Sher Swaim received her BFA in painting from the University of Illinois and did post-baccalaureate work at the University of Florida. Before locating to Port Ludlow, Sher owned and operated Sher’s Art Gallery and for 33 years taught classes in drawing, pastels, painting and ceramics for all ages.
