Monday, November 7 from 2:45 to 5 pm

Materials $10

Create original and wearable works of art using shrinkable plastic. In this class you will draw and color your own artwork, or trace and transfer artwork that you love onto plastic sheets. After we have created our own unique images onto the plastic, we bake it and watch them shrink down into miniature versions of thicker plastic with intensely concentrated color. Once we have our mini plastic artworks, we will turn them into pendants on a necklace..

Instructor: Amy Margaret Kapphan has a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal design from the University of Washington in Seattle. She taught jewelry making at Beads of Bainbridge in Winslow and various other bead stores. Her jewelry is sold online at amymargaret.com.
