About

This class has been postponed.

Make a large five point star for the 4th of July!

Create a dramatic, three-dimensional five pointed metal star to decorate a wall or maybe the side of a barn or garage. In this class you'll form, assemble and spot weld together five pieces of metal into the shape of star using jump shears, box and pan brake and a spot welder.

You’ll make your 36-inch-diameter five-point star from galvanized steel, which you can paint later, if you wish.  (The star in the picture is galvanized steel sprayed with an antique bronze paint.)

No prior sheet metal experience is required, although it will be helpful to have taken the two-hour Sheet Metal Safety class.

Additional materials fee of $15 for sheet metal will be added to your total when you register for class.

Instructor:  Chris Stanley: Model Maker, Educator, Artist. Chris spent the last 18 years teaching it all in the industrial design program at The Art Institute of Seattle.

Minimum class size is 2. If only one student has registered 48 hours before the class, the class will be cancelled.
