This class is the NEXT STEP for beginning sewists!

This unisex design from Ryliss Bod is a terrific and practical coat that everyone can use. The hood protects you from rain and there are great pockets for your keys and phone, both inside and out. You will want to make more than one!

For those who have taken beginning sewing classes, this class will be a great next step.  You will learn seam finishes for unlined garments, how to make a hood, add facings, sleeves and pockets.

Details

• A $35 materials fee is included in the cost of this class. The instructor will provide a paper copy of the unisex coat pattern. Copies in sizes 32"-44" and 46"-62" will be available.
• You will need to bring 3 yards of 54” to 60” wide fabric and an equal amount of lining fabric.
• You will also need a sewing machine. You may bring your own or reserve one of BARN's machine to use for free during the class. Please reserve the sewing machine when you register.

Prerequisites

Previous beginning sewing experience. This is an advanced beginner project. If you have questions on your experience level please contact the studio at sewing.coordinator@bainbridgebarn.org.

Fiber Sewing Machine Certification if using one of BARN's sewing machines.

Class Policies

• Ages 14 and up are welcome.
• Bring a sack lunch. A microwave and refrigerator are available for your use in the lower level Commons area.
