In this Sewing Lab you will use the techniques you learned in the "Sew with Knits" workshop on April 24th by making a simple skirt -- Easy-peasy! 

  • Two seams and a waistband!!!!  
  • Adjustable lengths.  

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • Pattern by Christine Jonson #1219. It can be ordered through Ginny's Fine Fabrics, Stonemountain Fabrics & Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley. and Hart Fabrics in Santa Cruz  
  • Soft Knit Fabric with a good drape:  2 1/4 up to size 14; for larger sizes 2 3/8 is needed.
  • Notions: 1 1/4 yard of 1 inch elastic for waistband and thread to match your fabric.

Fiber Studio Member, Renae Matson, will give a demonstration of how to sew skirts using knit fabrics.  Who said sewing knit clothes couldn't be easy and fast!
