About

This seminar will be a treat as we introduce Robyn Spady, a nationally renowned fiber artist and author, to BARN to teach her “Taming of the Hue” seminar on color theory. Robyn is the BARN Fiber Arts Studio 2017-2018 Artist-in-Residence.

This seminar is not just for fabric artists, but for everyone who wants to:

  • incorporate more color in to their projects, but feel a little intimidated at the same time;
  • learn more about  aspects of color such as color schemes, hue, saturation, value, and manipulating visual perception of color.

If you long to break out of a color rut, you are not alone!  In this seminar, a variety of tools and techniques will be covered to assist you in exploring different ways of incorporating color into your projects and give you more confidence in discovering new color horizons.

Speaker: Robyn Spady is a national treasure in the arts and crafts field, and we are are delighted that she is our inaugural BARN Fiber Arts Studio Artist-in-Residence.  Robyn is often the keynote speaker at conferences and meetings across the country, and she also does hands-on teaching. She is the author of numerous books and writes regularly for various fiber publications, including Handwoven.

Please help us welcome her to BARN and learn why we are so excited about having her as our Artist-in-Residence.
