WordPress describes "blogging" as follows:
"Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog," which is a term used to describe websites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other websites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order.
Basically, it is an amazing phenomenon that allows anyone to post information that is of interest--to become a published writer, if you will.

Sallie Wagner Brown, former teacher who has a bachelor's degree in French and English literature and a master's in education and counseling, is now a blogger, freelance writer, traveler, dog-lover and rookie boater. She lives on Hood Canal and writes a blog for wasanctuaryshore.com about the city of Kingston, where her boat, the Ceilidh, is moored. She also writes blogs for WSHG.net. Rebecca Olson is an actress based out of Seattle, Washington. Her blog "Jet Lag is for Amateurs" started as a way to keep her friends and family updated during her various worldwide travels, when they started complaining about the mass emails. It begins in 2009 and covers 16 countries in Western and Eastern Europe, the UK, and South America. It would be longer, but she lost her trip to Holland in 2007 because of a server snafu, and learned the hard way to always back things up. She just started a new blog "For the Love of Lavender" featuring her family's lavender farm in Sequim, Washington, which offers expert lavender advice and insight (for beginners to enthusiasts) and a unique look into the the world of a lavender farming family.
Rodika Tollefson is an award-winning writer who lives on the Key Peninsula with her husband and three sons. She is a contributing editor and blog manager for WSHG and also writes for several local publications and produces videos. Her work has been published in regional and national publications; she also writes for companies and organizations, including on the blogs of national brands such as American Express (OPEN Forum), Hertz, CyberScout and CORT. She is the editor-in-chief of The Pen Woman, the magazine of the National League of American Pen Women. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she received the Outstanding Journalism Graduate of the Year award; she is also a graduate from the University of Washington’s Master of Communications in Digital Media program.
