Weavers are always looking for the next great thing to be produced on the ever-versatile plain weave foundation. In this workshop, you'll be introduced to this fun weft-faced weave structure that allows the weaver to produce graphic bands or ribs of color. This easy and fun-to-weave structure will produce handwoven runners that will dress your table in fun graphic designs sure to turn some heads.

Sara Bixler will bring an array of yummy Jamieson & Smith yarn colors for weavers to choose from and a variety of designs to inspire you.

Details

• You must know the basics of handweaving.
• After Sara leaves, guest weavers can continue weaving for an additional day (Feb. 1) to finish their designs at no extra cost. BARN members can have a month on the loom.
• Bring a bag lunch each day.

Details

• A materials fee of $10, included in the cost of the class, covers the necessary warp for your weaving project. 
• A selection of Jamieson & Smith Yarns for the warp can be purchased during the workshop. Depending on how much you use, your cost will be $40 - $60 for warp fiber. This way, you get to choose your own colors.
