About

BARN member:  $45
Non-member:  $54

Saturday, October 22 from 1 pm to 5 pm

Rhino is a 3-Dimensional drafting program used in professional and amateur design, rendering, and fabrication. With introductory instruction, one can model simple forms and begin to independently develop the skills to design and build complex objects.

In this introductory class, students will receive a guided tour of the basics of Rhino. The class will focus on building a familiarity with the logic of 3D modeling. Each individual will receive advice as he or she models a form over the course of the class. The purpose will be to gain basic familiarity with the interface and build a foundation for the student to continue to learn and explore on his/her own.

Rhino retails for $995 for professionals, but it is available as an unrestricted 90-day free trial. A reduced cost license is available for $95 for students of any age with a valid academic ID (apart from BARN), and once bought can be used indefinitely for either commercial or academic purposes. Students will need to bring their own laptop capable of running Rhino, and will need to install Rhino prior to the class (see link below).
