About

BARN members: $27
Non-members: $32

Friday, June 17 from 10 am to 12 pm

Material fee: $20 payable at first class

In this class we will take all of our broken pieces that we once loved and breathe them new life. Whether it’s your mom’s or grandmother’s old jewelry that was handed down to you, or your own pieces that need repair, in this class you will learn how to fix them.

Most of us all have a pile of broken jewelry at home; old chains that snapped, clasps that gave out, or loose beads from your stretchy bracelet that broke. This class will teach you how to repair jewelry using wire working skills, cord stringing, attachments, and redesigning with the pieces you have available.

This class is a great intro into jewelry making, as you will learn lots of small ins and outs of the trade, while gaining the satisfaction of being able to wear your precious jewelry again. Join us for a fun and informative class!

INSTRUCTOR: Amy Margaret Kapphan has a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal design from the University of Washington in Seattle. She taught jewelry making at Beads of Bainbridge in Winslow and various other bead stores. Her jewelry is sold online at amymargaret.com.
