About

Students will learn the intriguing technique of intentionally embedding decorative bubbles in kiln-formed glass. It's a great class for beginners as well as more advanced students to add a few more skills to take fused glass work in new directions. First, we'll start off our class with a design presentation then go to our hands-on glass work. Students will create one medium size bubble plate in the design variation of their choice.  Students will have the choice of either clear with colored stringers or colored glass with either clear or colored stringers.

Instructor
Donna Rulien
Instructor
Anne Miller

At heart, Anne is an artist and designer whose chosen mediums include concrete, textiles, clay, paper, metal, encaustic, stained, and now, fused glass. Her passion took her on many paths, including ceramics and portraiture, and eventually led to a career in graphic and textile design and as a Marimekko retailer, toy, and apparel designer. Combining her talents for design and business, she pursued a career with Herman Miller and Steelcase, which spanned 35 years. Recently retired, her passion for art and design has led her to BARN to immerse herself and focus on all forms of art-creating, designing, and having a terrific time.
