Printmaking: Demo & Practice will be a regular First Saturday of the Month feature.  A different demo will be offered each month by local instructors.  After the demo, students will be given time to practice the technique.  

The topic for October is Color Mixing.  

In this Saturday Demo and Practice session, Gillian will demonstrate how to choose and combine printing inks. Then, students will have the opportunity to practice mixing inks by making a handy reference chart for personal use in working with color.  Gillian finds mixing colors to be a joyful and playful adventure in which there are no mistakes.  Being open to unexpected results is part of the process, as color mixing and printmaking both present many avenues to pursue until the artist is happy.

• Prerequisite: none 
• A materials fee of $10 will be added to the price of class when you register, which covers materials required for the demo and student-grade print paper.
• Professional grade print paper is available for purchase in the print studio.
• Feel free to bring a meal or snacks. Food is allowed in the common area adjacent to the studio classroom, and there is a kitchen in which to store and reheat. 
• This class will be cancelled 3 days prior to start date if it has not reached the minimum enrollment to run.
