About

Canceled by instructor and Lead on 3/12/22. registrant was notified~tt

This 4-hour guided open studio has a prerequisite. Please see below before you register.

This opportunity is for participants who have taken the BARN Printmaking Essentials class and would like studio time with an experienced monitor available to guide and support as needed. This studio time is for skill development and practice and is not a formal class. Please note that the last half hour of this open studio will be for properly cleaning presses and work areas.

When an individual feels ready to work independently and gain member fob access to the studio, they can request an assessment with the monitor. Evaluation sessions are based on the checklist provided in the Printmaking Essentials class. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Print and Book Studio Lead, Amy Goldthwaite at printandbook.lead@bainbridgebarn.org.

Instructor Bio:
Virginia Davison began her artistic career in college as a painter. By graduation, she had found her voice carving plaster. For the next 25 yrs, she carved alabaster and marble, but at the same time became an avid gardener, working the land around her two-acre parcel on Bainbridge. After her two kids graduated college, she reinvented herself again by taking classes at Pratt in collage and printmaking. Her years since 2007 have been devoted to these art forms. She has shown her work locally at the Bainbridge Library, Grace Church, Blackbird Bakery, the Big Art Studio on Day Road, and the BARN Bazaar.
