About

Create a fun abstract portrait of your pet in fused glass! What, no pet? You can invent one!

You'll learn some easy glass cutting techniques and the basics of a fused glass project. Guided by a photo or your imagination, you’ll compose an abstract interpretation of your companion using transparent and opal (non-transparent) glass, stringers, frit, and other glass components. Your base will be clear glass, approximately 9 inches by 11 inches.

Your finished piece will be ready for display.

Details

A materials fee of $60, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • You must wear close-toed shoes and long pants.
  • Water and other beverages must be in closable, lidded bottles.

Cynthia Jacobs

Retired architect Cynthia Jacobs has been playing in BARN's Glass Arts Studio for about two years. She said she is inspired by all the creativity and always learning something new from this generous community of artists. Previously a painter, she loves creating art with fused glass.
