In this five-session class you will learn to create a stained glass window with beveled glass accents. Bevels add beauty and transmit light in their unique way. Bainbridge glass artist Gregg Mesmer of Mesolini Glass Studio will guide you through the step-by-step process of building your window measuring approximately 22" x 22".
You will learn contemporary, innovative, and efficient methods to create this art piece, methods that he has honed over his 40 years of experience as a glass artist. He will guide you through glass cutting, design decisions, selecting materials, and assembling and finishing your abstract or figurative piece. Be a part of history.

All glass cutting tools and equipment are provided. There will, however, be an opportunity to purchase tools if desired.

This class is for beginners and those wishing to brush up on skills. Your materials fee will be collected at the beginning of your first class. The materials fee will cover all the necessary items, such as drafting paper, pattern film, zinc and lead, glass and miscellaneous other supplies. 

Instructors: Gregg Mesmer and his wife, Diane Bonciolini, both recognized with the 2015 Island Treasure Award, moved to Bainbridge Island in 1977 and started the iconic Mesolini Glass Studio. They have been working as glass artists professionally for decades. Their expertise, however, goes beyond window making to include other glass techniques. Over the years, they have worked on community projects and taught for Northwest Art Glass, the Bainbridge Parks District, Olympic College, and in their studio.
