About

BARN members: $27 (1 session)
Non-members: $30

Make a knotted bracelet using silk cord, semi- precious stones and freshwater pearls as you learn techniques that have timeless appeal.

Pearl knotting is a beautiful technique that adds to the beauty of handmade jewelry. The knots add such depth and elegance that many people knot beads other than pearls for the fluid and textural effect.

Beginners are welcome, including teens 14 years old and older. Please bring a $15 materials fee, payable to the instructor at the class. The studio will have all the  tools needed, but please bring your own if you have them. Bring your own beads. Beads will also be available for purchase if you need them.

INSTRUCTOR: Amy Margaret Kapphan has a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal design from the University of Washington in Seattle. She taught jewelry making at Beads of Bainbridge in Winslow and various other bead stores. Her jewelry is sold online at amymargaret.com.
