Ray Hammar is an artist in salvaged and re-purposed metal. He will guide and work with studio participants through the process of creating new objects from salvaged and/or new materials. The emphasis will be on artful re-purposing old materials and metal objects.

Welding experience equal to BARN Introduction to Welding MIG #1 and #2 is required to attend this class.

Bring your artifacts and salvage.  Ray will have some stock of salvaged materials available for sale.  No salvage materials are supplied by BARN.  For those interested, Ray may have tips on where to find interesting materials.

There is a materials fee of $5 for gas, filler that will be added to the cost of the class when your register.

BARN will provide Personal Protective Equipment

Participants must wear natural fiber clothing, closed toe shoes, no stretch fabrics.  Dress warmly, the studio may be cold.
