Like the “Genius Bar” at an Apple store, the BARN’s Media Arts Studio will be piloting free help desk support on 4 consecutive Saturdays from 10am to noon starting December 30^th.  This will be a chance for individuals to ask questions and get support on the use of the Media Arts Studio equipment including: video cameras, lights and microphones, use of video editing software Apple’s Final Cut Pro, and dealing with some glitches with Apple computers.  This is something new for the Media Arts Studio so and we want to try it for 4 weeks to see how it goes.

The service will be offered by John McKenzie who has been producing short videos of events here on the Island such as opening day at Owen’s Playground and promotional videos for non-profit organizations including the Sr. Center, and IVC.

Assistance will be offered for up to ½ hour per individual to allow multiple people access to the service. Perhaps you just got a new camera or Apple computer for Christmas and would like to get some help on how to use it.  Drop on by the help desk for some one-on-one assistance.
