We will begin the monthly Fiber Arts Studio General Meeting with an update from your Steering Committee We will share new information and get your input on future Fiber Arts Studio activities.  

This Month's Program: Dorset Buttons

Dorsets can be the basis for colorful buttons, a brooch or necklace, serve as a decoration for accessories, or become part of a wall collage.

We are going to make Dorset Wheel buttons and learn about the history and the variety of Dorset buttons.

Materials.  Please bring:

  • blunt tapestry needles with large eyes (we will have some for you to use if you don't bring your own).
  • Yarn (linen, wool, silk, cotton).  
  •  Decoration such as beads.
Age Levels: 14+ or younger children with an accompanying adult.  This will be a fun activity for the whole family.

If you have never visited BARN or the BARN Fiber Arts Studio -- this is a great chance to come and see the Studio, take part in a creative activity, and meet the community.
