Materials fee:  $20

Saturday, October 24 from 1pm - 4pm

Mala beads, also known as prayer beads and referred to as the Buddhist rosary, have been used for centuries by Buddhists to count their sutras. Most recently they have become a popular trend in fashion and yogi culture for their charm and casual style. Join us in making your own meaningful and personalized mala to keep you grounded and remind you of your intention and mantra everyday. This class will teach you how to assemble your mala, the meaning and significance of mala beads, and also guide you through your design decisions of personalization.

INSTRUCTOR: Amy Margaret has a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal design from The University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She taught jewelry making at Beads of Bainbridge in Winslow and various other bead stores. Her jewelry is sold online at amymargaret.com.
