About
This is an all-levels two session, hands-on class that will give you an overview of how to go about making your own videos using an iPhone as the camera.
Session 1 – You will be given an overview of the various aspects of video storytelling and production. We will then review how to capture quality images and sound using an iPhone as your camera. We will discuss the importance of lighting, sound, background, camera movement, etc.
You will do some editing using the iMac computers available at BARN using short video clips provided to you. More specifically, you will create a video story by combining, trimming and re-arranging video clips using Apple’s iMovie. And then learn about enhancing your video by adding digital music, still photos, voice over and titles. You will be asked to take some video clips at home over the next few days to bring into class on day 2.
Session 2 – We will finish editing the video projects started at the first session and then go about taking the video clips you have on your own iPhone and editing them into a story. This will involve importing from your iPhone into the iMac computer and using iMovie to edit the clips into your story. You may then have an opportunity to share your video for others in the class.
Please bring:
- Your iPhone
- Apple/MAC laptop if you have one
